Tramonti is known for its green landscapes, quiet atmosphere, and rich traditions. It is surrounded by vineyards, chestnut forests, and lemon groves. Its name means “between the mountains,” reflecting its beautiful natural setting.
The town has ancient origins, dating back to Roman times. Over the centuries, Tramonti became an important agricultural center, supplying food and wine to the Amalfi Republic. Today, it is still known for its excellent local products, including wine, dairy, and its famous pizza, which locals claim originated here.
Tramonti is made up of 13 small hamlets, each with its own unique charm. Among its attractions is the Chiesa dell’Ascensione, a beautiful church located in the Polvica hamlet.
