Ravello

RAVELLO

Ravello is a peaceful hilltop town on the Amalfi Coast, known for its stunning views, beautiful gardens, and rich cultural history. It’s often called the “City of Music” for its long connection to the arts.
The town dates back to the 5th century and became an important trading center during the Middle Ages. Wealthy families built impressive villas, many of which still stand today. Ravello has inspired artists, writers, and musicians for centuries, including Richard Wagner, who found inspiration here for his opera Parsifal.
One of Ravello’s main attractions is Villa Rufolo, a historic villa with breathtaking gardens. Its terrace offers panoramic views of the coastline and the sea below. The villa hosts concerts during the Ravello Festival, a renowned music and arts event held every summer.
Another highlight is Villa Cimbrone, famous for its “Terrace of Infinity,” which offers one of the most iconic views on the Amalfi Coast. The gardens here are full of statues, fountains, and vibrant flowers.
